Content: A partial draft of "Our Wounded and Sick Soldiers—Visits Among Army Hospitals, At Washington, on the Field, and here in New-York," first published in the New York Times , 11 December 1864. Though parts of "Our Wounded and Sick Soldiers" were partially reprinted in the New York Weekly Graphic (1874), Memoranda During the War (1876), and Specimen Days (1882), the portion which appears in this draft was not reprinted until after Whitman's death in The Wound Dresser (1898).
