A draft of the poem "Mannahatta." Whitman numbered each
leaf in pencil in the lower-left corner. The leaves correspond to
various verses in the 1860 edition. In the 1872 edition of
Leaves of Grass
the poem was transferred to a "Leaves of Grass" cluster, and in
1881 took its final position in the "From Noon to Starry Night" cluster.
